Wine in a Can! Why NOT?
In the beginning, it was glass, sealed with a cork, or a screw cap. Along the way box wine made its debut. No fads here. Packaging meets demand. But, “can” wine? This offering just might be here to stay, too. After all, a pink or white wine in a “can” is easily iced down in one’s cooler right along with the other adult beverages.
The canned wine idea is not totally new. It first emerged in the 1980s, then fizzled out. However, as the old saying goes, timing is everything. And the time just may be now. As winemaker Todd Bostock so eloquently puts it, “There’s all these places that beer gets to go that wine should get to go, too.”
